It can't be rocket science to disable it. Anyone clue me in to what I'm missing please?

This is what I did, I don't like touchpads either.
My wife uses a Yoga 14, which does not have a BIOS setting for this, so this is what we've been doing. Unfortunately, something reenables it periodically (maybe after system updates). On machines where a BIOS setting is available, I prefer to use that.

Not on the 590s... the geniuses stippled that option out on the 590's. "Uninstall device" is an option but not disable. As I posted above, on the 590's you have to go into the bios to disable it.
