100mbps on ethernet port

#1 Post by ibrahim52 » Sun Jan 05, 2020 1:55 pm

This is my very post and I never knew about such amazing spot for thinkpad fans. I actually tried looking for similar topic before posting but posting it anyway because I have tried almost every possible solution available on internet.

WiFi is fine, works over 300mbps but ethernet (Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (3) I218-LM) despite of resetting windows 10, updating bios, updating each and every driver, removing all vpn tap drivers. Nothing helped, whenever I connect to any gigabit based port, I get only 100mbps, fixed 100 always. If there is any way to fix this. Thank you.

Have you tried it on another router port?
Have you tried it at another location?
Is yours a proper Cat5e or Cat6 cable?
Have you tried the latest Intel drivers?
Are you running Windows (which version) or Linux?
