Replacing T440p keyboard connector

#1 Post by kyle2000yt » Sun Feb 16, 2020 3:00 pm

One of the connectors for my T440p's keyboard has become loose and doesn't hold without tape. I'm wondering if I can replace it? I found the schematic diagram, and on page 64 it goes over both keyboard connectors; for the larger one it says "JAE_FL10S032HA1" and for the other one, "JAE_FL10S012HA1". Googling these brings up nothing; is it possible to buy a replacement connector online and solder it to the board?

IF you can find them, and IF you have a reball/reflow station, and IF you don't have two left hands, you could do it.
But it's a lot easier and cheaper to just replace the motherboard.
