T430 Fan Error

I started my T430 up last night and got to the Windows 10 login screen, then the computer randomly shut itself off. The power button light flashed once when I tried to restart it, and did the same thing with the battery removed and plugged into the wall, at this time the fan spun once before shutting off (this is important for later.) So, I took it apart and reseated the RAM, CPU, etc and tried to boot up again. The laptop POST'd, but now the fan will not spin and I keep getting a "Fan error." I've attempted to replace the fan with a completely different unit and sprayed compressed air in both, I've also replaced the CPU to see if that may have been the issue.

Is there anything else I can try to fix this? Or is this a motherboard issue? Before I took the computer apart, the fan was working just fine. I've even tested both fans in another T430 and they work fine.

My specs:

i7-3632QM
8Gb, 2x4 RAM
NVS 5400m MB
1080p mod
Crucial M550 mSATA SSD

(Reposted because I realized I had posted this in the T400-T420 forum)

Maybe 'very carefully' check the fan plug/wiring/motherboard fan socket first? Then check the fan itself?
Hope this helps or put you on the right path.

Everything looks normal with all of the above, I've even replaced fans with one that I know works.

Ok, an update on this.

I replaced the existing MB with a non-NVIDIA board. I tested it with only RAM, fan and a keyboard installed (with all the cables attached of course) and the fan worked fine. I reassembled everything and now the fan is back to not working.

Can anyone please help me with this?

If the fan worked when the laptop was disassembled, you must obviously have done something wrong during reassembly.
Reseat the fan cable, check that the fan itself is not "stuck" due to some (casing) part being maybe warped?

Unfortunately this was the 5th time reassembling this specific unit. The fan works on other systems just fine, other fans do not work on this system however. After disassembling and reassembling it, the fan continues to not work.

No amount of disassembly/reassembly or common troubleshooting techniques work. Fan cable has been reseated many times and the fan is neither stuck or warped. I've built quite a number of ThinkPads and have never run into this issue.

Could the fan hub be getting shorted? I don't see anything could could be facilitating this.

Check fuse F4 (type ERBRD2R00X) near the fan for continuity.
If it fails, piggyback solder another one on top of it.

Do you have a board diagram? Couldn't find anything online.

No, but the mobo should have a marking F4 printed nearby, the fuse itself might have a letter N printed on it.
Fuse is 2A, 32V, Fast, size 0402.
