T450s - battery life

I've read some review on line about the T450s laptop .
It seams the maximun battery life is 8 hours with the external standard capacity battery (23wh)
I tried to replicate the situation with only web surfing usage but laptop shudt down after 4,5- 5 hours.

could you share your real battery life ?

I have the external 24wh battery and the internal (I think its 19wh? I can't remember the exact number, I'm on Windows 8.1 and don't have the lenovo software on it)

I can get about 4 to 5 hours on a full charge with both packs at 100%, also keep in mind my cells have aged as well, the internal pack at last check showed like 800 cycles which I don't really believe.

I also have the external 48 wh pack, that substantially increases runtime at the expense of thickness. But I do like having the option of changing it out, I can get about 6 to 7 hours with that pack and the internal pack. My 48wh has only about 10% wear whereas my internal and 24wh packs are both at around 25 - 30% wear.

I also run my brightness at 100% though, but I do have some other savings options setup.

So many variables when it comes to battery life. One often overlooked factor is the actual battery health. In Windows you can do this using powercfg while in Linux you can use tlp.

my laptop has been used not only with charger since september 2016 . lenovo vantage tells batteries have 126 and 264 cycles.
I think the primary battery cycle count is too low as it has just lost a 20 % of capacity(17,7 vs 23wh )
