T540p Screen Upgrade

#1 Post by someuser_nm19 » Sat May 16, 2020 6:24 pm

Hello everyone, about 6 months ago I got my first ThinkPad a T540p and I love all of it except the screen. Its the 1376*768 TN and its pretty bad. My T400 has a better screen lol. I was wondering how to upgrade it to a IPS 1080 or maybe an 3k display. I've heard you have to replace the whole screen assembly and the cable, but I was wondering if it is possible to get an aftermarket screen that will fit, I'd appreciate any help.
Thanks for your time.
