I'm in the same boat- forgot about the 2nd internal battery. I'd l;ove to know where the fuse is, as well.

Usually those fuses are located very close to the LCD-connector on the motherboard.
This has been mentioned on the forum about, oh, what, 1478 times?

Many schematics can be found for sale all over the place, several also free if you dig deep enough.

Not sure if this will help, however the lcd backlight fuse on T460 is F5 located on the reverse of the motherboard near where the lcd cable plugs in. It's maybe 1mm in size so you will need some type of magnification for testing, i used an ipad camera for mine, you can check it with a multi meter. Changing it would be a challenge, i bridged mine with tinned wire, (not a great idea) but now I know the failsafe isn't there I'll be more careful. I can post a pic of the location on T460, but not sure if it's same on T480. Hope this helps, good luck

Hi, I'm trying to fix my thinkpad backlight too and found your reply. Would you please post a picture of the bridging you did? That would help a lot, thanks.
