T460s ram upgrade - confused by slots in use

Hi, I have an i5 T460s and I want to max the RAM.








I understand I have 2 slots, one of which is soldered. CPU-Z shows Slot 1 with 4GB module size, but Slot 2 as empty.

I am confused as to how much of my 8GB ram is actually soldered vs. 4GB + 4GB.

Any guidance greatly appreciated.

Based on the T460s Hardware Maintenance Manual, it appears that there's only 1 RAM slot. If CPU-Z detected 1 4GB RAM stick, then it's obvious that the T460s has the other 4GB soldered onto the system board.

From what I remember when trying get the best t460s for the buck there were 2 versions: one with 4gb onboard RAM - soldered - business edition, and one was with nothing one a board.

I have one with 4gb on board with total of 24GB total.
