A Thinkpad T440p power supply has a rectangular 3-pin connector on the output side. The inner and outer shell resemble the voltage source. The pin in the centre indicates how much current the laptop is allowed to draw from the power supply.
My Laptop came with a 20V, 4.5A, 90W power supply.
If I use a power supply rated for a higher current, will my laptop draw a higher current and charge faster?

If yours has Intel graphics only, 90W will be fine.
With discrete graphics, 135W is recommended, but with low(er) needs, 90W will do too.
