the laptop just shut down and would no longer turn on unless i take out the battery and reset the CMOS, since that happened i no longer am able to use my wifi card or have audio
from the laptop(when pressing on the audio icon it immediately starts the trouble shooter).
What i have done:
replace the hhd with a 128gb ssd(and cloned everything from the hhd to the ssd)
add a 700gb 2.5" hhd using an optical drive to 2.5" drive adapter
replace the default touchpad with a t450 synaptics touchpad which somehow worked out of the box with no driver modification.
The laptop was kept on a wooden surface and i made sure i wouldn't damage anything during the hardware change.
I already put in a new CMOS battery(instead of buying a factory new one i took apart the old one and just swapped in a new battery).
I tried setting the BIOS to legacy/default/factory with no result.
I did NOT install a new BIOS/attempt to reset the BIOS.
It is likely the mobo is dead but i cant think of a way it would "just die" when the laptop was in perfect working condition.
When booting up the laptop said there is an issue with the real time clock, even on the first boot before the issue started.
Nothing charges if i set the time manually.
The laptop also sometimes says that here is an issue with CMOS on boot.
Any help would be appreciated, im trying to exhaust any options before i order a new mobo.

I made sure to check that the way i connected the battery was correct, i also replaced the battery BECAUSE the issue started, not before it started, i am certain the issue is not because of the CMOS battery.
After reinstalling windows the laptop works just fine but the trackpad drivers had to be modified for it to work properly.
I have no idea as to what actually happened but if anybody is having similar problems try a fresh install of windows.
