Please: How Do You Install the Power Mgt - SOLVED

No matter how I do this one, it shreds my install completely.

With all the other drivers that throw up the 'Can't Identify' the driver signature, blah blah blah, it's enough to make me switch to Linux only,
instead of dual booting it with this Windoze. In fact, I am unable to even get to the Linux install after over three DAYS trying to get these
lenovo drivers installed. Insanity

No matter what, it claims it can't recognize it, but I install anyway, and manually trying to update , makes the system boot into REPAIR MODE,
and from then on it's BOHICA time again.

What is the method to install this, or should I simply allow it in 'Other devices'?

Again thank you for any advice, help or recommendations for a good therapist.

I installed W7-Pro 64-bit from the original Lenovo T440p Recovery disks without any problems.
(mine has 'only' Intel GPU, but 16GB RAM and i7-4702QM CPU).
After that, I uninstalled the Lenovo-bloatware, installed only the driver for my printer and set W7 to NEVER update.
It's been running faultlessly like that since late 2018.
Mine will also NEVER see W10/W11 or whatever other junk Micro$haft will come up with.

I do not have the original disks, as I purchased it from a trusted friend.
He's a fellow veteran and has been through as much 'fubar' as I have.

I've got everything installed except Intel mgt garbage (disabled) and this Pwr Mgt driver/software.

It's the last detail I need address for drivers after over 3 days of wrestling with this.
I'd rather be wrestling alligators, at least they aren't as complicated.

P.S. I've even disabled the memory protection in BIOS as per Lenovo's bios recommendation when something isn't working correctly.

I'm at my wits end on this last driver/software.

Of further note, in case this makes any difference:

I didn't have one single problem installing any of these drivers with 32bit (x86) Win7.
It went as smooth as silk. It's only with this 64bit that is giving all these problems.
I'd say about 1/3 of the drivers were not recognized or gave me other headaches.

OLDER VERSIONS? I forgot if we could get older versions of these drivers?
Perhaps if I were to use an older driver/software package it will install?

IS IT NECESSARY?
Can I just leave it like this? It would be the first time I've ever had a system without installing every single driver needed.

After unattended install using various switches (/LM /F etc.) at various times, I see it in System Devices [of course] with an error.
I reboot to the 'repair system' nightmare.

No matter how I do this it claims the driver is unsigned. HOW CAN THIS BE?!
Again, it's not the first driver package I've struggled to install that claimed this.

How does Lenovo get away with this?

p.s. Sorry RBS, my T440P has the nvidia and intel graphics.
Not sure what difference that makes on the power manager however.

My T440p uses Lenovo Power Manager 6.68.15 which should work on both dGPU and iGPU.

I'm a little confused by this. The computer is telling you not to install this software and then when you force the install, the computer is screwed up? Why install software that the computer rejects? Does the computer not work if the software is not installed? I would leave well enough alone and not worry about it.
