First time here on the forum, but a long time ThinkPad user.
So I recently got myself a T480s and its great in almost every way except both the left and the right button on the trackpoint act as left click. I can't figure out how to fix the right one to do right click actions. The right click on the trackpad is working fine tho.

I'm running Windows 10 (21H2 Build 19044.1706) and my T480s uses a ELAN UltraNav (ACPI\\VEN\_LEN&DEV\_008F).
I've tried multiple versions of the driver, there's only one from Lenovo official site (October 2021 [16.21.24.3](https://16.21.24.3)), but I found 2 others from third party sites (2018 and 2020 versions). Also tried instaling the driver trough Lenovo Vantage and Windows updates but all those different driver versions and sources produced the same issue.
Has anyone encountered issues like this and is there a known solution for such a problem?
I really got used on using the trackpoint left and right buttons instead of the bottom buttons in the trackpad on all of my previous ThinkPad's, so any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. When I uninstall the device and remove all driver software, after I restart the left and right trackpoint buttons both act as right click -_- (if that helps).
In the F10 startap option/UEFI diagnostics/Hardware test mouse buttons:
When I press both the left and right buttons individually it shows both being pressed.

Re: T480s trackpoint / upper trackpad buttons issue
Welcome to the forum.
Perhaps (rare) the problem can be in the keyboard connector on the motherboard, but I would try a different keyboard first.
Your keyboard is faulty (more specifically the trackpoint buttons or the wiring connected to them).Smooth Operator wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 2:31 amIn the F10 startap option/UEFI diagnostics/Hardware test mouse buttons:

Re: T480s trackpoint / upper trackpad buttons issue
After further investigation I opened and removed the keyboard and saw that there's oxidation everywhere.
So the previous owner spilled something over it, I tried cleaning the area on the buttons and around the wiring with alcohol but no luck.
Ordered a new keyboard, its very easy to replace at home even without professional tools, just need to pop the 2 button covers on the trackpoint buttons, unscrew the 2 screws
underneath and gently lift and disconnect the keyboard.
Thank You for the tip.
