Replace T440p Display with IPS 1920x1080

Hi,

Just purchased a T440p yesterday. Hope to see it by end of this week......

Want to upgrade display to the IPS type 1920x1080 version.

Looked at Lenovo parts and there are 3 listed there for $192, $225, and $284. The item names say they are the IPS version and work with T440p, but doesn't clearly state they are 1920x1080.

Looked at eBay and they are much cheaper, but they are pretty much all cheap knockoffs of the known brands that I read are good such as Innolux, AUO. The listings say "For Innolux" or "Innolux like", etc. very sneaky sellers.

Anyone have an idea of where to get a good quality IPS 1920x1080 display for a reasonable price for T440p?

The abbreviations mean:

FHD = 1920 x 1080
IPS = In Plane Switching (generally, wide viewing angle)
AG = Anti-glare

Any way to know which one is best quality build-wise and visual quality-wise?

Any other suggestions for getting a good quality display?

IMHO the best one of those (ex factory) is the 04X0436 (I have that one, which is an LP140WF3-SPD1).

I installed an exact LP140WF3-SPD1 into my T440p and the dark colors are so dark that they are black to my eyes. I even used the color profile for the screen found here https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-Th ... 248.0.html Is there a newer color profile available?


EDIT: I was wrong.

I installed Windows 10 on my T440p and followed the instructions here, viewtopic.php?t=129386, and now the LG LP140WF3-SPD1 looks great!! I tried it in Windows 8.1 but the .INF driver would not work because 8.1 is an incompatible version of Windows.
