eGPU EXP GDC does not work after Ivyrain BIOS update T430

#1 Post by Hixon » Fri May 12, 2023 3:24 pm

Hi Folks,

I have upgraded by T430 with an AX200 wifi, with this upgrade I also needed to have the Ivyrain BIOS flashed to revome wifi whitelist. I have an EGPU setup (EXP GDC + 1050ti) which was working fine with the stock Lenovo BIOS, but since the Ivyrain update the laptop gets stuck at the Lenovo boot screen when the EGPU is connected and wont progress further. Any ideas what setting should I change in the Ivyrain bios to have the EGPU up and running again?

Thanks!

Try enabling Secure Boot, that seems to help.

My W530 with OEM BIOS won't work with my EXP GDC. But my X330 with 1vyra1n works with the EXP GDC (partially - I can get acceleration to the internal display with Optimus but HDMI out on the GPU doesn't work with my crappy Emerson flatscreen).
