T430 eGPU problems (windows)

I've been having a problem with my T430 (i7 3632qm, 16gb ram, 512gb ssd, windows 10 pro) where the external GPU I've been using is coming up with "error 12 cannot find enough free resources" and being unable to restart with the eGPU installed. I've gotten it working a few times in the past but am trying to figure out the way you're supposed to load the eGPU, and hopefully use nvidia optimus to launch it on the laptop screen. I'm using the EXP GDC dock with a Zotac GTX750. I don't have any other GPUs so would rather use the one I have currently. Hoping there is someone who could help me out with this, It worked before so I know there's a way.

Try setting ExpressCard to gen 1 in the BIOS and enabling UEFI boot.
