Hiyall,
While typing on my Thinkpad T440p, when I press on either I or K I don't get a response. Several seconds later I can go back and insert them. How do I fix this annoyance?

Try cleaning the keyboard. There may be something under the keys that's interfering with proper contact. If that doesn't fix if, you may have to replace the keyboard. That said, having replaced a T440p keyboard for a client last year, I'd say it's not a fun exercise.

Yes, clean keyboard somehow.

Try a flexible dental probe to sneak under the key edge.

Removing and replacing keys is an effort, find instructions for the type you have.

(For example, there were to different designs used on x41.)

Noting I and K are adjacent vertically, but lint under edge of key should not impede both - perhaps something sticky was spilled on them.
