Hi guys, this is Danny from the Netherlands.
Recently i bought a t440s for a good price online for my little girl.

When the shipment arrived, i was not very happy.
It doest have a charging port, but hey, you can buy that right?

So i openend up the machine, , and i really dont kwam what is see, i see something is missing, but what?

Can you guys have a look to tell me of this is a waste of not?

Notebookcheck's review of the T440s has a few photos of the interior which may give you an idea if parts like RAM, WiFi, SSD, etc. are missing.

Their review sample had a Wireless WAN card which most likely is missing from yours.

You shouldn't worry about it though as it was an optional extra.

The review sample also has RAM in this slot

Which in the year of the rampocalypse is quite normal to have missing.

Edit: The T440s does have 4gb soldered though so it will still work without RAM in that slot.

Get the T440s manual from the HMM-Manuals link above.
Then in there check 1160 dc-in cable assembly, which has P/N or FRU 04X3863.

On the AC-7265 wifi card connect the white cable (from orange/white) to 2 and the black cable (from blue/black) to 1.
Orange and blue are for the optional WWAN card.

As seen in the HMM 1160 dc-in cable assembly you need to buy:
- 04X3863 DC-IN Cable ASM
- 04X5343 Bracket DC IN
- M2 x 3mm screw

Perfect, i will buy that first.

update i cant find the bracket in de eu.
i have to search better.

If you are handy, you can make it yourself from a piece of an empty tin can.

I just have ordered the power jack on aliexpress, also a 220v adapter.

When i get it i will send a update.
