X230 Trackpad buttons on bottom?

#1 Post by haryo » Wed Nov 21, 2012 6:59 pm

I know the X230 trackpad has left and right mouse click 'buttons' at the top of the trackpad, but do the left and right corners of the BOTTOM of the trackpad work as buttons as well? Thanks. A prospective buyer.

If I recall correctly, the X230 has a click pad, meaning anywhere you press on the touch pad registers as a left click except the lower right corner, which serves as a right click. You're right that the buttons are integrated into the touch pad and it does not have separate physical mouse buttons.

Thanks. My concern was that the two hardware buttons just below the keyboard were the only way to do any sort of click. I didn't realize a click pad was a bit different than the more common trackpad with 2 buttons on the bottom.
