mSATA Data Drive, X230t

I purchased an X220t a while back and returned it.
Times and needs have changed so I decided to buy an X230t to replace my X200t
I found a good deal at a reseller on a X230t w/180 SSD.
I see lots of posts about using an mSATA drive as a boot drive.
Is there any reason I can’t use an mSATA drive for data?
Seem simple to me: add a 256GB mSATA, move my libraries, and I’m done.
All SS X230t. Will dual boot W8 on the 180 drive.
Am I missing anything?
Thanks
