Can't turn off Airplane Mode Windows 8!

Hi all,

My three week old X230 running Windows 8 stopped connecting to my router. I did a factory reset, set the bios to default settings, reinstalled (repaired) the Intel wifi driver, but no luck. The keyboard switch pulls up the airplane mode toggle, but it appears to be greyed out. In any case it is unresponsive. I can connect to the internet with a cable. I ran some lenovo tests and get a 'radio isn't turned on' error. No error notices in the hardware manager. I'm presently doing all windows 8 updates. Any suggestions?

Doh! It was the tiny mechanical (not keyboard) switch

I would say this makes up at least 99% of all computer-related problems.
