How are you trying to connect to the Internet?

I recently purchased a very similar X230T and I had no problems getting onto the internet. Should easily connect to a wireless signal or ethernet. If you let us know how you're trying to connect, we can try to help.

Actually I can connect via wi-fi or wireless internet but I can not do via Ethernet cable. I called Lenovo support but the guy could not solve the problem and he said that I should mail the thinkpad to Lenovo to solve it..
Anyway, thanks guys for your help.

I think this is a problem with Ethernet port.. The cable can't be stable in the port and gets out simply.

Maybe the clip is broken off the cable itself, instead of a defect in the ThinkPad's port. Can you try a different cable? Or, at least compare both ends of the cable to see if there is the same clip/tab on each end.

Neil, I am sure that there is no problem with the cable, I can connect to internet with my another laptop using the same cable.

OK, then.

It was just a guess anyway. If the cable is OK, but still won't stay in the socket, I guess you're right about the port being defective or damaged. It's a very rare thing, but, I suppose anything can happen.

A couple other options to try before sending it off might be to boot from a Linux disc to see if you can connect. That might tell you whether it's a hardware or software issue. You could also try shutting down Access Connection, the firewall or any other security software just to see if that's causing it.

Sorry, haven't been back here for a while. I recall having a problem with my T42's ethernet connection once, turns out that the ethernet port was somehow disabled. Make sure it's enabled and try again. If it currently shows as enabled, you might want to disable it and then re-enable it. Good luck.
I haven't tried the ethernet with my X230T yet, maybe I'll try it and see if I get the same issue.
Edit: Tried it. No issues. Didn't have to mess with any settings. Sorry.
