Hello Everyone,
Today I noticed a hairline mark in my ThinkPad x230's IPS panel. Its slightly above and to the right of the center of the screen. I have no idea what it is.
Here is a photo of it: (Circled by red box)

The ThinkPad is only 4 months old and has had no problems so far. This mark has suddenly appeared, or I have not noticed it until now. The computer has never been dropped and has always been carried in a padded bag.
I checked that the mark is indeed not dust or a smudge on the outside of the panel - its in the panel.
My concern is that Lenovo will not repair this defect citing customer damage. Is it true that x230 IPS panels made after 11/12 lack the ghosting issue? Mine has ghosting so perhaps I can use that as an excuse to get a replacement panel.
Thanks!
