Fresh Windows 8 Pro installation on a new SSD

#1 Post by dasmoothride » Sun Sep 15, 2013 11:24 pm

Hello, I just got my x230 recently with windows 8 standard installed. Anyway, I bought a new SSD and I want to install Windows 8 pro that I got from DreamSpark on it, therefore I won't be using the recovery partition that I have on my HDD - I was wondering if the UEFI bios would interfere with the W8 pro installation on my new SSD drive? Thanks!

No, you'll be fine. I switched to UEFI when I upgraded to Windows 8.1
