My x230 went all weird today?

Had it since July or June 2013, and this happened. I was only installing software for Office 2013 but it did that. Now it's permanent... Eegh.

I really have a feeling that a mainboard and LCD replacement isn't gonna remedy the problem at all. I'm gonna hope for the best, if not, then refund time.
MacBook Pro Retina 13in
Lenovo ThinkPad X230 (8GB RAM, needs 16GB and 4G modem)
Lenovo 3000 N200 (DEAD), Lenovo ThinkPad SL510 (stripped down for CPU and RAM, Dell Latitude D430 and D830 (needs new batteries and HDDs), Fizzbook Spin NL1/2
MSI GT640 (new SSD needed and caddy), Lenovo X131e

It's difficult to really see the screen content, but it looks like it entered Safe Mode somehow. If so, are you able to navigate the Safe Mode menu at all? If not, perhaps you can recover the factory image that came with the system.

Otherwise, assuming you purchased the machine new, then it should be covered under Lenovo's factory warranty.

I think a new screen will fix it and I bet you get it back quickly. I think it is all hardware. Installing Office 2013 probably had nothing to do with it.

Does it occur on the flash screen before booting to the OS? Does it occur with the hard drive removed?
