x230 12v car charger

#1 Post by peaceridge » Tue Nov 12, 2013 12:02 pm

Anyone have one of these that works - or should I use an inverter? I do a lot of camping and will need to charge mine up (new order, hopefully on its way Thurs) through the RV battery.

Lenovo does make an ultraslim adapter(41R4493) that has a car charger. You can probably get one fairly inexpensively on eBay if you don't mind used. I have one and it works quite well.

Thanks, I couldn't find it on Lenovo's site - I'll look into one from ebay.

Amazon carries them as well; new units priced at $81.99 (as of today) with free shipping and includes several power tip adapters.

I'm trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on it - I have so many chargers, inverters, connectors currently I hate to pay so much for just the 12v car part. My x230 is due in Tues and I may see if one of the ones I already own might work. I have one for my netbook, that outputs 19v 2.1 amp, so I'm still researching.

Thanks for your reply, though.
