Hi,
a brand new X240 that has a normal 500GB HDD and an internal SSD of 16GB is showing this error at boot, after
the Thinkpad logo:

2102: Detection error on SSD2 (M.2)

Should I reset the SSD mSATA or is hardware issue?

Thanks
Oliver

I have the exact same issue. I received a blue screen on my brand new X240 so I decided to restore to factory defaults. This error was displayed right after the restore. I have found nothing useful online to help with this issue other than calling Lenovo support to return the machine or taking the whole machine apart, which I do not want to do. I should not have to do.

I would be interested if anyone has found a solution to this problem. I have had this boot error for about a year now, but the computer seems to be running fine.
