x240 Heat issues

#1 Post by rodawg » Thu Feb 27, 2014 8:43 pm

Any other x240 owners have heat issues?
my x240 will hover around 93-97C watching netflix.
the fan is completely off.
A restart will not fix the issue.
A shut down, and restart will fix the issue.
Once the computer goes to sleep, and is opened again it will heat up with no fan once again.

any solutions are appreciated, updated the computer with all the latest bios and drivers....

Incase other people run into a similar issue, I tried many things but ended up re installing windows 8 using the recovery process. The system still overheated. I upgraded to windows 8.1, and the issue seemed to go away. I did not install the latest power management drivers.
