Replacement Touchpad with Buttons for X240

So I'm seeing replacement touchpads for the X240/s/X230s that include clickable buttons:

Does anyone have experience swapping these in? Can someone verify that this is a drop-in replacement for the X240?

As it seems like the touchpad of the X240 is glued to the palmrest (in contrast to the touchpad of the T440s that is screwed to the palmrest), it isn't.

Yeah, further investigation revealed the Redditor who upgraded his laptop. Looks like a 1:1 swap. They are also selling trackpads for the T440. Happy upgrading, folks!

I laso replaced the touchpad with a one from x250 (and a regular keyboard with a backlit one at the same time) and documented the process. If anyone's interested, here is the guide:
