Hi All,
I am long time ThinkPad user (I am using T430i and X240 at the moment). Used to have different machines from Butterfly (701), G40,..., X220 last...
I got configration w/o touch screen w/ ghosting, 4G of ram and slow 0.5 TB HDD and illuminated keyboard. I actually cannot complain too much about anything, little thing just works. :)
What I would like to have i more lighter machine so I am thinking about putting away large external battery and use only internal as autonomy is not too much of a factor for me but there is one thing which is bothering me. When I remove battery I got empty battery compartment with battery connecor exposed and also I can see some wires on motherboard (or something, I do not know what is under). Is there some kind of "dummy" battery to get just to fill this hole? Where to get it?

Thanks in advance,
Danijel

Just an idea. Buy a cheap replacement battery from ebay, disassamble the unit, remove battery cells and contact points leaving just the plastic cover and reassamble the battery. Here is your dummy unit :)
