[Solved] x230 replacement IPS screen - have I been conned?

Hi All
I've just 'upgraded' my x230 TN display to a pricey new IPS display, bought off a certain auction site:
"Brand new Lenovo IPS display for X230 and X230i with Lenovo FRU number printed"
"Matte Anti-Glare"
It works fine but is far more glossy than I'd expected. And I'm really not keen on gloss.
The TN screen was matte - any reflections are fuzzy & vague.
The new screen isn't as glossy as some (e.g. macs) but reflections are sharp.
Please can someone with the genuine article let me know whether I've been diddled ?
Thanks!

I don't recall the IPS LCDs on my X220 being reflective. It's kind of hard to say without more information. Do you have any pics or a link to the auction?

The X220/X230 IPS displays I've got to see are pretty matte. You can see clear reflections only from very wide angles. Head-on, the reflections are very vague.
What is the FRU / LCD panel number of the screen you received?
Are you sure there isn't just an extra layer attached to the screen?

Thanks for the replies.
FRU number is 93P5675
There doesn't seem to be any protective plastic sheet on the screen. Certainly nothing overlaying the grey fabric that is around the very edge of the screen. I'd thought that for new screens there would be something.
This is how the reflection looks...

- certainly not vague.
I'm guessing that answers my question!?

Give us the item number please.
From the description on those auction pages we can usually tell immediately if it's fake or real.

I have (and had) several IPS screens for X220/230 and none have any gloss at all, they are quite matte. I am looking at a loaner X230 IPS right now and no signs of reflection.

It seems I haven't been conned at all, just rather dumb.
It was indeed a plastic film over the screen. It's now been removed and the screen's looking beautiful!
Many thanks all
