Just got my refurb X260, a few questions

#1 Post by natgab » Tue Jun 07, 2016 7:33 pm

Just got my laptop this morning, still trying to adjust everything to my liking.

Windows 10 questions:

When I use the Track point scroll button, the middle one, it makes the Start menu open. How can I make this stop.

Where is the control panel to fine tune the Start menu? The little arrow comes out to slide it sideways but it won’t get narrower.

Any other tips to adjust Win 10 to make it usable. I like Windows 8.1, but Win 10 has its quirks but having a Start buttons is nice.

I want to dual boot with Ubuntu, so I would like to know what I need to set in the BIOS since this is a Secure Boot computer.
I think there is UEFI / UEFI+Legacy / Legacy. Anything different in setting up the dual-boot.

Hardware questions
:

Recommendations for the M.2-2242 slot, any size limits or whitelist.

Hardrive: I am not in a hurry to replace it my 500GB 7200rpm HD yet. And if I can put the boot OS in the M2 hard drive I would leave it either for dual-boot or as my data drive.

Since it was brought up, how can I tell who made my IPS screen. I really can’t complain, miles ahead of the screen on my T43.
