X230 Charging Problem

#1 Post by black_thinkpad » Mon Jun 13, 2016 5:57 pm

I have a Lenovo X230, running on Win 10 x64 operating system, and I have two original 9 cell batteries (44++). Both batteries have been working fine a few days ago. Right now, when I connect the laptop to the power adaptor, the battery light would blink (as it normally indicates charging) and it shows the "plugged in, charging" in Windows. However, the battery percentage doesn't change at all. The same thing happens with both battery. I've tried rebooting with no result. Anyone has any clue on what's happening?

Also, when the laptop is plugged in, the battery indicator would give a green blink a few times, and then there will be a second delay, and then the slightly blinking orange will kick in (battery is very low at this point). When the power is disconnected, the blinking orange (which indicates charging) doesn't turn off until the battery is unplugged.

Thank you!

PS: Computer still turns on when adapter is unplugged, but I'm afraid I won't be able to charge my batteries anymore.

Just curious, does it turn on without battery (being connected to AC adapter)?
