Thinkpad x230 16:10 Replacement Screen

#1 Post by doihead » Sun Jul 16, 2017 5:12 pm

Hello there, I have a couple of questions regarding the x230 and the display mods, x330, Nitrocaster, etc. First of all, could I put in the 1440x900 panel from the x201 into the x230, thus not needing the nitrocaster mod? Second, is there a 13 inch 1920x1200 panel that could be used in a custom x330?
Thanks, bye :D

Actually, NO and YES.

There is a 12.2" IPS eDP 1920x1200 LCD. Supply your own backlight.

Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.
