Recently upgraded my x230 to x270. The IPS screen is horrible compared to the x230. In particular any graphic / video content is too dark, even at full brightness (no detail in the shadows at all). I thought IPS was supposed to be the better screen. Could it be the default graphics drivers or Arch Linux? Any suggestions welcome.

X270 IPS screen terrible
Re: X270 IPS screen terrible
How'd it look when running Windows? I'm not a Linux pro(or even an amateur), but I presume you've got an Intel GPU, which usually offer good Linux support.

Re: X270 IPS screen terrible
1. Might need to load the ICC/ICM profile from the monitor driver package in Windows
2. Might need some form of gamma/color adjustment just for the video overlay (no idea where to do it though)
