X230 Powering Off Into Ultrabase

#1 Post by Monkeyfume » Sun Oct 22, 2017 8:23 am

I have an Ultrabase series 3 for my X230. I like to keep my computer in suspend mode when I'm not using it, but when I dock it into the Ultrabase while it's in suspend mode, it powers off. This is undesirable. Is this a bug or a feature? Can I prevent this from happening?

OS: Arch Linux. I can see if the issue persists in Windows but I'd rather not use the dock than use Windows.

It's a bug. Try in Windows. If it still happens - it's a hardware fault either in the base or the docking connector on the machine. If not - SW bug in your Linux distro / related drivers
