X240 Slic for W7 seems possible

#1 Post by RealBlackStuff » Fri Nov 10, 2017 11:38 am

I just found this webposting that offers a Slic-option for W7 on an X240.
https://forum.51nb.com/thread-1493565-1-1.html
or translated into English:
https://translate.google.com/translate? ... rev=search

At the bottom there are 3 files to download.
However to get at them, you need to be a member of 51nb.

Is there any member of 51nb on this forum, who is willing to download those 3 files for me and then PM me with details?
Thanks much in advance.

Kind of surprised it doesn't have SLIC 2.1 in BIOS already since Win 7 was still available as an option on the -x40 series. Certainly my T440p has it; I ordered it with Win 7 but I don't think that usually matters.
Current Thinkpads:
X31, X40, X61T, X61, X201, X220 (i7 IPS), W520 (FHD), T440p (FHD),
T480 (QHD)
Dells: Latitude C840, Precision M70, Precision M4400, M6400 (WUXGA), M6600, M6700, 7730, XPS 13
Daily driver: MS Surface Pro 7 (i7)

Some have Slic2.1, some don't because they have a W8 key in BIOS.
