X240: cannot change EDID. Intel's own EDID Registry override does NOT work.

I'm looking for a specific Registry entry in a W7 installation (not W10).
This entry is only applicable to 12.5" IPS FHD (1920x1080) screens such as used in X240/X250, but also in X220/X230 with nitrocaster's FHD-mod.

Using regedit.exe go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\DISPLAY
Then please check if you have this entry there: LEN40E4.

When found, please rightclick on DISPLAY and then on Export and save it as e.g. display.txt (NOT as a .reg file to avoid complications).
Exit regedit.
Could you then please copy/paste the full content of that file here?
And also tell which X2x0 machine and if your Brightness-control works?

The above is probably only for Lenovo-supplied screens, such as LP125WF2-SPB2, -SPB3 and -SPB4, that also have a FRU-number.
Other screens (not originally from Lenovo) have DISPLAY entries such as:
LGD0449 (e.g. LP125WF2-SPB3 from win0win)
LGD048A (e.g. LP125WF2-SPB4 from win0win)
Don't need those.

I was actually after the EDID for that screen.
In the meantime I think I got it from W10.

HELP!!!
I can't get Brightness Control working on an X240 with W7-Pro 64-bit.
OSD Volume up/down is working and showing.
Intel chipset, power management + driver, Hotkey, Intel graphics drivers are all installed.

I have tried every Registry trick in the book (and many that are NOT in any book, such as Run-as-System).
Used EDID-overrides, and what not, nothing works!
(Except under Linux it works!)

The LCD is a new FHD LP125WF2-SPB3, bought from eBayer win0win.

Suggestions, pretty please!

I think Intel implemented the EDID override on a newer version for the T450 models, some info on this thread:

Not sure if the EDID would make the brightness work.

I went a lot deeper and finally stumbled upon this unicorn gem: an Intel® Graphics Test Driver that bypasses EDID!
There are also newer versions, as mentioned in my above link.

Oh , I thought there was no such thing as LCDs whitelist for x240, only for x250 and above.
Already ordered x240 + non FRU 13.3 AUO FHD. And now worry a bit about possible Brightness Control issues.

I have tried every EDID program (Windows or Linux) that I could find.
None of them worked.

Only yesterday did I discover that I may have the wrong LCD-cable 0C46006.
That cable is nowhere listed or described.
So now I have ordered a 00HM134 and hope that will solve my problem.
Will let you know.

There is solution for this problem? Cause many x240 swapped on FHD lcd panel the brightness hotkey (Fn+F5/F6) not working

Unfortunately that 00HM134 still did not solve the problem.
But it does work under Linux.
I tried Linux Mint 18 Cinnamon "Sarah", but will try "Sylvia" next, should also be OK.

Methinks the time has come to start saying Good Bye to Windows.
I was already planning that anyway...
