Question to X250 Motherboard

#1 Post by Tasurinchi » Fri Jun 08, 2018 4:05 pm

Hey gals and guys...

I got a defective X250 which shows no image on the display, when removing the bottom cover the first thing I noticed was this chip, its cover is glued to the black tape:

Does anybody knows what's the function of the chip? Is it bad it it stay "open"? Should I be worried or should I just tape it?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help and have a good start of the weekend!

That's a pulse transformer, probably the NA69.
It's a bunch of chokes to regulate the data lines of the LAN port nearby.
It's recommended to keep it closed.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
