I'm looking for X230T schematic

#1 Post by melstav » Tue Jul 17, 2018 12:16 pm

As the subject would suggest, I'm trying to find a copy of the schematic for the X230T. Apparently, when Wistron designed the motherboard, they called it the "Comet-2".

If anybody has a copy that they'd be willing to share, that'd be great.

All of the places I've been able to find it want me to pay for it, and most of them seem a bit sketchy.

Failing finding someone who'll share the schematic, does anyone have a source they'd done business with in the past that they'd recommend?

Where did you find that?

Lenovo doesn't post their schematics.

Not sure if this is of any use but a regular X230 schematic: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2mH6f ... 5CcDA/view

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

You need to look for do you Lenovo service manual or maintenance manual. If you are Googling 'Lenovo schematic' that's probably why you're not finding anything.

As far as I can tell, he is mixing up the HMM and schematics. But that's still after rereading it 4 times.

Sorry voice text doesn't always worth the greatest on my mobile phone.

I've never heard of a thing like a laptop schematic but the x230 and 230t service manual or maintenance manual has a complete breakdown of how to take everything down to the bare magnesium roll cage. That is probably the closest thing to a schematic you're going to find. What I was trying to say was if you are Googling the words Lenovo schematic you're probably not finding [censored] because nobody who writes technical documents calls anything a schematic anymore. It's usually something along the lines of service bulletin or maintenance diagram.

Just my 2 cents on the matter

Wrong type of schematic, but your not necessarily wrong.

He is looking for an electrical schematic, a breakdown of all the components on the motherboard and how they are connected.
A simple one looks like this:

And that is NOT an antiquated term by any stretch of the imagination when referring to the electrical ones. The thing is every once in a while the original schematics get leaked from Lenovo and we catalog them here when they do. Some places sell them but getting them for free will definitely get you digging in the Google rabbit hole.
