Thinklight issue on X230?

I had a strange issue with my ThinkLight and was hoping to get some ideas on what might be happening? This is a 2324-CK6; no mods/upgrades other than 2x 256GB SSDs and 16GB of RAM.

The strange thing is that it stays on and will not power off; the light remains on after hibernation or shutdown until A/C power is removed. This behavior happens in the BIOS, OS, or pretty much anywhere else. Fn+Space combination doesn't do it. I haven't swapped out keyboards yet(I've got a backlit keyboard on my W530 that's a direct fit), but other than that I'm out of ideas. Is there anything else I should try?

I had the exact same problem...I ended up having to replace the wiring from the camera/light to the mobo.
