FIngerprint censor?

ive just installed a fingerprint reader to my llenovo thinkpad x230 and windows isnt letting me sign in with it, or even recognise it in windows hello. Any help would be appreciated

First, is the sensor being detected in Windows? If it is, do you have a password and PIN set up? Windows won't let you use the fingerprint reader if you don't have either of those set up.

Also check that your Security chip in the BIOS is activated...
