ISO 72wh battery supplier for X250

#1 Post by elray » Sun Sep 29, 2019 7:22 pm

I discovered that my "six cell" battery is but 48wh, not the 72wh I inferred when I purchased.

Searching the Ebay, there are plenty of sellers listing 0C52862's, but they're all just keyword-spamming, selling 48wh batteries.

The only "genuine" parts come from Chinese sellers.
That might be perfectly legit, but I'd rather not risk it, as prior experience is mixed and returns are complicated.

Lenovo is sold out, not that I was intending to pay $120.

I can live with the remaining 30wh capacity yielding 5 hours for a long time (no internal battery) while I sort things out.
But I'd like to find a reputable domestic source for a new 72wh battery, if such exists.

Suggestions welcome.

AFAIK x240/x250/x260 and possibly x270 can all use the same batteries, so expand your search.

The following laptops use the same battery:

X240 X250 X260 X270

T440 T440s T450 T450s T460 T460p T470 T470p T480

W550 W550s P50s

L450 L460 L470

The battery OP is looking for is the 68++ battery, which Lenovo sells here: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/0C52862 but can likely be found at other places for cheaper.

The battery OP is looking for is the 61++ battery, which Lenovo sells here: https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/accessorie ... 4X50M08812 but can likely be found at other places for cheaper.
Unfortunately, no. 61/61+/61++ are only for T470, T480, T570, T580 and Thinkpad 25. X270 and T470p, like all the other laptops in your list, use 68/68+.

Went through all that and posted the wrong battery at the end... fixed, thanks
