[X270] From hd panel to full hd (& IPS) panel

#1 Post by ThinkGreen » Thu Oct 24, 2019 2:35 pm

I've bought a Lenovo X270 sure it comes with full hd display.

Instead...
:cry:

Now, because t the seller will refund me at least 40 euro, I'd like to know if (and how) I can upgrade the laptop putting the full hd panel in place of the hd one.

Which is the correct model I've to look for ?

Check this list: https://download.lenovo.com/parts/Think ... 170426.pdf
When you buy, make absolutely sure you get exactly what you order and NOT some "compatible" junk.

Thanks for Your reply.

Three questions:

1) how can I know which are, among the several displays listed in that pdf, the two or three best options (considering only fhd)?

2) how can I know which is the particular display thas in installed on my laptop actually ? I know only that it's an HD.

3) ALL models in that list are fully compatibile with every Lenovo x270 and there non issue to mount them on it ?

Further I've noticed my cpu (i5-6300) is not listed in that file...
:?

1) you want a non-touch FHD screen, choose between 00HN883 and 01EN374 from that PDF (or see below)
2) download/install/run HWINFO
3) all non-touch screens from X260/X270/X280 can be used

Via HWinfo are You sure I can recognize the FRU pary of display I've installed on my laptop ?

From Fru bom it seems that among full hd option only 00HN833 and 00NY414 are IPS screens.

Is it so ?

Here my actual display:
Image

Looking at compatible FULL HD panels it seems i can change built in display with:

- 00HN883 IPS
- 00NY418 " "
- 00NY682 " "
- 02DL820 " "
- 01YN106 " "
- 00HN844 " "

- 01EN374 not IPS

Can someone please explain some of these LCD's abbreviations: 01EN374 12.5" 2.3t,AG,300nit,FHD,NT,INX

01EN374 = FRU
12,5" = screen size
2.3t = ??
AG = presumably AntiGlare ??
300nit = 300 Nit
FHD = Full HD (1920x1080)
NT = presumably NonTouch ??
INX = presumably Innolux ??
