[X250]HELP--how do I uninstall "thinkfan" (Linux)

#1 Post by Paul Unger » Fri Mar 20, 2020 4:59 pm

I posted on the Linux pages, but they don't get as much traffic as out here. I'm hoping you'll forgive me for double posting (see here), but I really need some help to undo something I did in Linux...

Short version: after trying to install and run "thinkfan", temps have shot up and "csd-power" service is gobbling RAM at a rapid pace. I need to know how to back out of what I did. :roll:

Please reply at the other thread, so things don't get cluttered here. THANKS!

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge thinkfan
Should un-install, if that's what you wish to happen.
Collection = T430 - T500 - R400 - X300 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - R61 (15" SXGA+) - T60 - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P
