Some Keys are not working issue X240 Win 10

#1 Post by nilz23 » Wed May 06, 2020 9:44 am

After I upgraded to Windows 10 some keys mysteriously didn't worked. Keys such as "Letter G", "Letter H", and "Up Arrow '' is not working and I need to use the onscreen keyboard to type it out and a bit inconvenient. Previously it was working fine but now seems permanently not working. I tried numerous things like replacing drivers, etc but nothing seems to resolve this.

Also my x240's keyboard doesn't register in bios meaning i cant access the bios menu without an external usb keyboard - wierdly tho it does work when booted into windows.

Can someone help me on this? I would gladly appreciate it.

To get into BIOS, you have to first fully shut down W10, then reboot and press F1.
Open Start menu, select Power button. Press and hold the Shift key, while clicking on Shut down.
Check if the red nub presses on G and H.
Reseat the keyboard connectors.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (the Real Black Stuff). And pigs CAN fly!
