01HY494 12.5 FHD IPS AG touch, 300nit, AUO
01HY495 12.5 FHD IPS AG touch, 300nit, IVO
I have an X250 with touchscreen, very similar to the X270.
The X250-touch has everything different from non-touch: different cable, screen, lidcover, hinges, bezel, the works.
One can assume that the same applies to X270.
Find a complete touch-lid to simplify matters, or give up the idea of finding all those parts.

Yes they are 40-pin, while non-touch is 30-pin.
My X250-touch has 30-pin, 400nit, LG LP125WF2-SPB2, FRU 00HN747, maybe that fits also?

This X250 shows its touch/glass screen very well if you zoom in: https://www.ebay.ie/itm/254622054384
Screen connector is to the right (seen from the back).

Re: [X270] Type 20HN - upgrade to touchscreen ?
its not possible for the x270.
however why would you even want it? the precision touchpad and trackpoint together are amazing and good enough.
x270 does not have capability for "on-cell" touchscreen for that type of LCD panel.
the x250 touchscreen is a whole different LCD assembly that has the touchscreen layer on the exterior of the screen.

Re: [X270] Type 20HN - upgrade to touchscreen ?
Hi,
I've got an X240 with touchscreen and I found a cheap X270, but it has got a TN panel in it. I'd like to buy it and swap the whole screen lid from the X240 to the X270, in order to have a X270 with FHD IPS display, but I don?t know if it is possible, even if the X270 board would support a touchscreen at all.
Would this swap be possible, or is it a no-go?
Thank you!

Re: [X270] Type 20HN - upgrade to touchscreen ?
According to the X240 and X270 schematics, they both use the same 30-pin LCD-connectors Ipex 20374_030E_31 with identical pinout.
So in theory you could swap.
Whether that works in practice?
No idea, because of touch/non-touch.

Re: [X270] Type 20HN - upgrade to touchscreen ?
Swap done!
I installed the X240 FHD screen in a X270, and verything works OK, except for the touchscreen, that doesn't seems to Work. What is strange is, that Windows 10 detects it and installs a generic driver for it. It can be seen in the device manager as a working device, but it doesn't work.
Maybe is there a more specific driver, or it is a no-go and for some strange reason the touchscreen is recognized, but not working?
The original X270 type I've used is 20HMS0GW1A
