Blown x230 board... how to check?

Hi all
I purchased an additional power supply for my x230 it was actually a travel one (like this, but not from this seller https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lenovo-Think ... SwA2heyIYT)
But when I plugged it in, the laptop immediately powered off and has will not power on at all even just on the battery. I have tried removing the RAM, the HDD the network card and still there is no sign of life.
Is it a lost cause or is there a fuse that may have blown somewhere?
