X250 M.2 slot

#1 Post by OneByteCPU » Sun Jan 16, 2022 2:09 pm

Hi all!

Is the M.2 slot in the X250 a SATA III (NGFF) like on the T450 or is it PCIe (NVMe) like on the T480?
Bill

SATA only. NVMe came in the next generation--X260, T460s, but strangely enough, not the regular T460.
Planned Purchase: T480s i5-8350 FHD Touch

Thanks. I thought so, but I have seen it in this forum mentioned as PCIe. My T450 is SATA so I was pretty sure the X250 would be too

Skylake was the first generation with NVMe support. I studied the issue deeply because I wanted to keep using Windows 7 but still be able to use more modern stuff.
