X230 Keyboard

#1 Post by pauljmoore » Sat Jan 28, 2023 7:41 am

I have just replaced the fan on an X230, but the keyboard is not sliding back into place. I can't see why. Is there a likely cause, or a knack to this?

Solved: I tidied some wires around the fan, although it's not clear if this made a difference. On retrying, one of the screws - the one nearer the screen - engaged. I got the second one to engage by turning the laptop on its side to press the keyboard against its base.

I assume you have the X230 service manual from the HMM link above?
