X230 keyboard

#1 Post by steffy_k » Tue Nov 21, 2023 5:26 am

Hello

I have a Lenovo X230 which still serves me well, I have 4 or 5 keys which no longer seem to work..
I took it apart, uncapped it, cleaned all the keys... reassembled it but that didn't change anything

any idea where I could buy a replacement keyboard? anyhting special that I should be particularly cautious?

Do I necessarily have to take an AZERTY? because having all the caps/keys could taking a querty and changing the caps be a better economic choice?

thanks in advance

Steffy

Ebay, local classifieds, or aliexpress, I favor getting a used-secondhand condition keyboard as the "new" ones are too likely to be low-quality fakes.

Even if the layout is different (ISO/ANSI) or has different key-prints I just ignore it and touch-type.
